Q: Where are we located?
A: We are in the heart of the Carolina Beach Business District, on the corner of 2 Lake Park Blvd. and Cape Fear Blvd. one block from the beach and Boardwalk.
Q: How old must I be to rent?
A: 18 years old to sign liability wavier.
Q: Which ways can I pay you for your services?
A: We currently only accept VISA, MASTERCARD, DISCOVER, AMEX, and cash for our services.
Q: Should I make a reservation?
A: We always suggest reservations even though we have the island’s largest inventory of surfboards, paddleboards, kayaks, bikes, chairs and umbrellas, etc.
Q: If it rains can we get a refund?
A: Sorry, but due to summer showers, we do not offer any type of refund due to weather.
Q: If we return our equipment early can we get a refund?
A: Sorry, but we do not give refunds on early returns but a possible credit may be offered under certain circumstances.
Q: Do you offer gift certificates?
A: Yes, we do offer gift certificates for any of our rental equipment including our kayak and paddleboard tours.
Q: Can we take the kayaks in the ocean or the marsh land?
A: Yes, we are proud to rent versatile sit on tops perfect for ocean and marsh water. Let us know your destination and we will outfit you with the right kayak.
Q: Are there bike paths on Pleasure Island?
A: There are bike lanes from Carolina Beach to Kure Beach to Fort Fisher Blvd. “GREAT NEWS!” Pleasure Island’s Greenway Path has been completed!
Q: Can we deliver your equipment to your condo, apartment, or home?
A: Absolutely, call the shop to setup a time.
Q: Are there sharks in the ocean/will they get me?
A: As hard as we tried we cannot remove all the sharks fromt he ocean, but most of the sharks around our island are friendly and want you to enjoy their home as much as they do.
Q: Can you set up my chairs and umbrellas for me on the beach?
A: Yes, that is one of our no hassle services we offer. Just tell us what your address is and we will set up your chairs and umbrellas directly in front of your beach access.
Q: I don’t have a reservation can i still get items?
A: Of course. By having such and extensive inventory we welcome all walk up traffic. We will outfit anyone’s beach needs. If you want to have chairs and umbrellas out on the beach and you are already out on the sand keep your eye out for our John Deere gator ATV and our staff member can drive right up to you and set up your chairs and umbrellas.
Q: I’ve never been to Carolina Beach before can you tell me what to do and where to go?
A: We would be more than happy to recommend our favorite restaurants, activities, and sights of Carolina Beach and the surrounding areas, just give us a call or stop on in.
Q: Can you repair my personal bike?
A: We do work on bikes. We offer simple services such as but not limited to tube repair, chain replacement, installation of cup holders, etc….
