I had an amazing experience! Me and my son spent over an hour at another bike rental place with no luck. Long story short we left hot and aggravated with no bikes, $40 lost and a crying son. We stopped here and explained our experience and the guy GAVE us free rentals on a bike plus a three wheeler bike for my son with a basket (something the other place did not offer). It is very hard to accommodate one adult and an 8 year old who can’t ride a bike but this place did it and for free out of the goodness of his heart. He explained we all got to help each other. I almost cried at this point. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. This will be the only place I rent from now on!

Tyler, Sean and the rest of the folks at PIR have been taking care of my family for years. I would recommend them highly. They will do their very best to make you happy. If you have a problem they will do their best to make you happy. Please realize that weather is unpredictable here and delays in setup of chairs and umbrellas (or early pickup) are sometimes unavoidable. A flying umbrella recently killed someone in Virginia Beach, your safety is their first concern. Slow down, relax, you’re on Island time now! Enjoy your vacation. And take a kayak tour, they’re a lot of fun, kids big enough to help paddle love them!

Went on the sunset/ illuminated paddle board tour. Nicole was our guide and she was just lovely! Very accommodating and kind, such a great birthday gift for my mom! Also, got my bicycle tire replaced there. Such trustworthy people. Manager Tyler called to apologize for breaking the side mirror and promised to replace it (the mirror was already broken when we dropped it off). Such honorable people! Will 100% come back for any bike, kayak, or SUP needs 🙂

It can be hectic when having out of town guests, but Pleasure Island Rentals is always ready to help. We have had umbrellas and chairs delivered to our favorite beach spots, and had kayaks delivered to various drop in locations of our choice. They are a great service with very fair pricing. Best Trip Ever

I was vacationing in Carolina beach with my family and we rented some chairs and umbrellas from Pleasure Island Rentals. It was so great. Every morning by 9 am they would have our chairs and umbrellas set up in the perfect spot on the beach right behind our condo then they would come pick everything up at 5 pm. We never had to worry about lugging anything out to the beach with us. It was wonderful! The staff was so kind and courteous and reasonably priced. We loved Pleasure Island Rentals so much we decided to go on a kayak tour with the company too. Best decision ever and well worth the money! Our tour guide Phil was awesome! He knew everything about kayaking and the island that we went to. He was very safe but fun at the same time. I wouldn’t want my family in any other hands.

This place was great! They took a last minute reservation from us with no problems! It was out of season so we had to call and leave a message, but surprisingly they called us back within 10 minutes! They even gave us a discount to rent the whole week! That was a huge savings! The chairs and umbrella were in great shape and showed up at the same time every day! It was windy the week we rented and they even checked to make sure our umbrella was deep enough in the sand! Exceptional customer service! Thx Tyler!

Great service, Friendly staff

Rented a surfboard for my son and I for a few days while in Kure Beach. Everyone in the shop was friendly and helpful. When I had an issue with a faulty leash they actually came to me on the beach to fix it. The boards aren’t fancy but they had plenty of selection and work just fine. We’ll rent from them again next year!

Easy Peasy

We called for chairs and umbrella mid-day for set up in Kure Beach. They were prompt and set up quickly and returned daily on schedule. It was the best part of a vacation splurge to not drag chairs and umbrellas around in the heat, and Pleasure Island Rentals handled it all with one phone call.

Excellent service!

My husband went and ordered a two chair and umbrella combo and ran by McDonalds for a drink. Our chairs and umbrella were delivered and set up in front of our hotel before he even got back to the hotel! They were friendly with great service!! Definitely good quality and worth the $30 a day!

Best Beach Rentals on Island

Chairs, umbrellas, bikes, paddle boards, kayaks, surfboards, and more! They will even deliver chairs and umbrellas right to your spot on the beach and set them up. My sister in law broke her umbrella while visiting us, I called and they were there in 30 min setting us one up. Owner is a great guy too!

Awesome Rental Company

I’ve been renting from these folks for over 15 years and my experience with them has always been wonderful from day one. They are friendly and personable and have a huge variety of bikes, kayaks, SUP boards, umbrellas, chairs, and all of the beach accessories you might need. Tyler makes sure that we are all taken care of during our stay and we will continue to rent from them for years to come! Thanks again 🙂

Pleasure Island Rentals is such an accommodating business!

We rented an umbrella and two chairs for two days. Each morning, our setup was in the perfect location and completed by the time we were out on the beach.

At the end of day 1, we sent a quick email to Tyler to ask if we could have our chairs a little closer to the water for day 2. Tyler was speedy in response (we weren’t expecting a reply at all!) and so kind.

Writing this review now as we sit in our chairs and look out onto the ocean. Happy (beach) campers! Thanks Tyler!

We took our family of 5 on a kayak tour to Shark Tooth Island and had a great time. The islands we stopped at were beautiful and very peaceful as we looked for driftwood, shells, and sharks teeth to take as souvenirs. Just enough paddling to get a workout but not too hard on the teenagers. Our guide Phil was awesome at helping us find the best shells and teeth and making the trip enjoyable. We would highly recommend this experience!
